BOOK REVIEW 1:

Err...Ummm...Well...This idea is a rip off of one of my friends' posts...(He has restaurant reviews to his credit).. But, duh, this one is better...I mean the entire blog... No offense meant Meese Mama (Meese: A derogatory term in kannada for hair on unwanted parts of your body like the face)...

Book: DETECTIVE
Author: Arthur Hailey

Plot: Nothing very specific. Gives you the description of the daily life of a detective. And yes, he takes one serial killing case to illustrate this. Extremely well written. The description of the killings are gory. Not advisable for children. Absolutely no loopholes. Hailey manages to link all the sub plots convincingly.

My take: MUST READ.

Read it looong back, around the time when God of Small Things was published, although I read that one mucch later, owing to me being child. But Detective wasn't gory, maybe 'cuz as a child I took an overage convoluted liking to gore ???

@Hari: Hehe...Had to take a swipe at him after reading his restaurant reviews...

@Kuts aka Aslan: Haven't read God Of Small Things..Opinion/review plz...
And just to clarify, Detective as a whole wasn't gory..Only the few serial killings which he handles were described to the last detail...Which was qutite umm..let's say..not too pleasing..
